How it works

How a risk program runs itself

What triggers what, who gets asked, and what always stays with a person.

Updated 7 October 2026

Riskamy automates the chasing, not the judgement. When an incident is tagged to a risk, the score updates straight away. If it crosses appetite, the owner is emailed to reassess. Reminders follow up on their own, late work escalates to a manager, and leaders get a plain-English briefing on your schedule. Ratings, approvals and sign-offs always stay with a person.

Something happens

An incident is logged by whoever noticed it, then tagged to the risks it touches. That tag is the trigger. Nothing waits for the next quarterly review.

The score moves

The affected risk scores update straight away, using the scoring scales and appetite thresholds your team set. Anything that crosses appetite is flagged.

The owner is asked

The named risk owner gets an email with a direct link to reassess the risk and re-rate its controls, with a due date. No one has to remember to send it.

Nothing slips

If the owner doesn’t respond, reminders follow up on the schedule you set. Late work escalates to their manager. Every reminder and escalation is on record.

On schedule, and whenever risk changes

Set quarterly, half-yearly or annual review cycles per risk or per register. When a score rises in between, Riskamy opens a review straight away, so you’re never waiting for the next cycle.

Leaders stay informed

A plain-English briefing lands in leadership’s inbox on your schedule: what rose, what fell, who’s running late and which decisions are waiting. How AI briefings work →

What stays with a person

Risk ratings, control ratings, treatment decisions, risk acceptance and every sign-off. Riskamy AI drafts, chases and summarises. It never approves. Every automated action is recorded as one, so an auditor can tell a person’s judgement from a scheduled job.

Getting started: bring your spreadsheet

  • Upload what you have. The workbook your team lives in today, however it happens to be laid out.
  • Approve the mapping. Riskamy proposes how every column, owner and control lands. Nothing is created until you have checked it.
  • Switch the automations on. Scores, review cycles, reminders and briefings start running. If it doesn’t look right, an import can be undone.

See it on your own register. Bring the spreadsheet you use today.
